About us
ADECA is a non-profit community and intercultural association, open to all generations and all cultures.
ADECA grew out of a wish to create spaces in Greater Moncton where people from different cultures and generations meet in a meaningful way: around a workshop, an artistic project, a conversation.
The association’s first activities take place in Greater Moncton and New Brunswick. The ambition is to gradually reach across Canada, keeping the same principle: simple, accessible projects carried by local people.
The association’s first project sets the tone: a multicultural song created with young people from different backgrounds, sung in several languages — saying togetherness through music rather than speeches.
The association is being structured. This version of the website presents what is confirmed, what is proposed and what remains to be validated — without presenting a planned project as already completed.

Foster diversity, intercultural dialogue and social cohesion through artistic and community projects.
In practice, that means creating opportunities to meet, express oneself and learn, for all generations and cultures — through workshops, events and inclusive artistic projects.
Every generation and every culture belongs here, with no condition of origin, language or experience.
Arts, voice and creation as ways of fully existing within one’s community.
Real encounters between neighbours, families, newcomers and long-time residents.
Moving from idea to concrete project, with volunteers and local partners.
That everyone, wherever they come from and whatever their age, finds a place nearby to create, express themselves and meet others.
We believe bonds are built by doing something together, not by talking about living together. That is why our projects go through the arts, voice and concrete action — and that is what we want to keep growing, here in New Brunswick and further afield if our projects inspire other communities.
No condition of origin, language, age or experience to take part.
French and English, written and spoken, across all our communications.
Low fees, accessible venues and forms that are simple to fill in.
We say what has been done, what is under way and what still needs confirming.
Clear consent, especially for photos, videos and for minors.
Nothing happens alone: volunteers, members and partners build with us.
The association is run by a lead administrator, volunteers and, depending on the project, delegated managers. Team members will be named on the website only with their explicit permission.
ADECA brings together all generations and cultures around the arts, voice and civic action. Our first activities take place in Greater Moncton and New Brunswick, with the ambition of reaching across Canada.
